THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All the departmental examinations, scheduled by the Kerala Public Service Commission on July 5, have been postponed to July 21. There will be no change in the timings.
The original document verification for the posts of reserve watcher and depot watcher for the Forest Department, scheduled to be held on July 5 in Kozhikode, has also been postponed and will be held on July 7.

'Report all vacancies to PSC'

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Cabinet on Wednesday decided to urge all the department heads to report all vacancies that would come up till the end of the current financial year, ie March 31, 2011, to the Kerala Public Service Commission. This has been decided to create more job opportunities in the Government sector. PSC lists to get extended validity

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister T.M. Thomas Isaac has said that the State government has reached an in-principle understanding with the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) on extending the validity of all recruitment rank lists till May 31, 2011.
He was speaking at a press conference here on Monday about reports in a section of the media implying that the government was allowing the lists to lapse together.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Public Service Commission's (PSC) recommendations to raise the qualification for recruiting candidates to various posts in government service are likely to come up for the consideration of the Cabinet soon.
Official sources told The Hindu here that as per the proposals, candidates who had passed seventh standard alone would be eligible to apply for the post of last grade employees.

PSC recognised 31 out of the 42 courses

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As much as 75.48 per cent students who appeared for the Vocational Higher Secondary examination have become eligible for higher education and 88.38 per cent qualified for securing a trade certificate.
Releasing the results here on Wednesday, Education Minister M.A. Baby said that out of the 23,486 students qualified for higher education, 20,060 would get a trade certificate.
The save a year examination would be held from June 14.
