The free help line run by quizzer T.S Jayker is proving a great boon for job aspirants in the state. Jaykar, who had proved his mastery over general knowledge and englilsh by winning several national and state-level quiz titles and getting accredited as IELTS/TOEFL trainer, is at the receiver's end of this number to clear any doubt of job aspirants regarding questions in PSC tests and other competitive exams. For the time being, the service is not offered on a 24 x 7 basis as Jaykar as to discharge his offical responsibilities as a cashier at the KSEB office, Uzhavur in Kottayam district. "I am always available in thhis number, except between 10.00 am and 5.00 p.m on working days. It is a pleasure for met o share whatever I know with those who are in need" said Jaykar. Even without any publicity, Jaykar is getting around 500 calls on a busy day and he is able to provide correct answers to more than 90 percent of these questions. "I had struggled to find out answers to some GK questions during my college days. After starting PSC examinations training, many people used to ring me up in my personal mobile with doubts. That was how this idea materialised and for the last 6 months the help line has been functioning effectively", said Jayker, who belongs to Thalayolaparambu. Jaykar was the runner up in All India Inter-University Quiz competition in 2001 and was finalist in Sidhartha Basu's India Quiz, telecast on DD Metro in 2000, He had successfully led several quiz competitions in different parts of the state. Jaykar posses precious books and news paper clippings, which is a treasure of valuable information. By lauching a PSC help line, he wishes to share that priceless information with job aspirants.
